We weren’t the only ones who thought Vectorworks 2018 stood out at the AIA 2018 conference in New York, which we attended last month.
Architosh recently announced its 2018 AIA National BEST of SHOW honors, presenting Vectorworks 2018 with the Innovation Award. According to Architosh, the BEST of SHOW awards “recognize the most interesting technologies making, or destined to make, an impact on architectural practice here in the United States and abroad.”
The Innovation category focuses primarily on quality and how the technology addresses pain points, creates solutions, and the overall implementation. In particular, Architosh noted Vectorworks Architect 2018’s unique, open workflow that allows designers to move from their initial idea all the way through the BIM process, with no additional programs needed. There were also mentions of the software’s dynamic UI drawing views, Web View in 3D, 360 VR, and cloud services.

Innovation drives our work here at Vectorworks, but it’s our users that inspire us,” said Steve Johnson, VP of Product Development. “We are always trying to keep them ahead of the curve by giving them tools and technology that go beyond BIM and make their day-to-day design tasks easier. And of course, we want to provide tools that allow our users to stay ahead of their competition and win more work.”
